Our Story

Swiss Delights was founded in 1998 by the Rüegg family in the picturesque Alpine town of Ilanz, Switzerland. What began as a small local shop sharing traditional Swiss recipes and products with visitors to the region has grown into an international purveyor of authentic Swiss culinary traditions.

Our journey started when Maria Rüegg, a passionate home cook with a collection of family recipes dating back generations, decided to share the flavors of her heritage with a wider audience. Using recipes passed down through her family for over a century, Maria created the first Swiss Delights product – our now-famous Traditional Swiss Fondue Mix.

As word spread about the exceptional quality and authentic taste of our products, Swiss Delights expanded its offerings to include more traditional Swiss specialties. In 2005, we began exporting our products internationally, allowing food enthusiasts worldwide to experience the authentic flavors of Swiss cuisine.

Today, Swiss Delights is run by the second generation of the Rüegg family, who maintain the same commitment to quality, authenticity, and tradition that inspired our beginnings. We work directly with small-scale producers across Switzerland's diverse regions to ensure that each product in our collection truly represents the rich culinary heritage of our homeland.
